Joe Farmer is a proud hillbilly born and raised in the hills of Harlan County, Kentucky. Born into a difficult situation, his childhood and adolescence were trying. Finding himself at rock bottom with no hope or future in sight, at the young age of 19 years old Joe surrendered his life completely and wholly to Jesus. On that day, the trajectory of his future completely changed. Joe developed a hunger for God’s word and spent the next few years studying it with every minute he could spare.

In 2000, Joe married his soulmate, Tracy. They compliment each other perfectly and together they spent the last 20+ years serving in many areas of ministry in Manchester, KY. Joe is a visionary and community leader who spearheaded many successful community projects and ministries that are still going strong today.

Together, Joe and Tracy have two children. As a follower of Jesus, Joe feels that his highest calling is being a father and that is his priority. Teaching his children to live in freedom and find their calling is his greatest desire.

Joe and his family now reside in Monticello, KY near beautiful Lake Cumberland. He is an entrepreneur and owns and manages a State Farm Insurance office. Joe does not separate life and ministry but instead views everything he does as an opportunity to love and serve people that God places in his path.

Finding freedom from a life of pain has been a lifetime process and Joe is passionate about helping others do the same. Joe has dedicated his life to serving others and teaching people the truth he has learned. This book is a combination of his desire to share his story as well as teach others the basic biblical truths of how to walk in a lifetime of freedom.
